Wouldn’t it be great in 2017 to improve income generation, problem solving, and opportunity creation? Maxwell found commonalities in the way successful people think, and provides some tips to set us in the right direction. I’ve added some comments:
1. Changed thinking is not automatic – Looking for a new idea? Search for it. Resources exist. Use them. Expose yourself to good thinkers.
2. Changed thinking is difficult – In the words of Albert Einstein “Thinking is hard work. That’s why so few do it”. Commit to the work.
3. Changed thinking is worth the investment – Legendary author Napoleon Hill observed “More gold has been mined from the thoughts of man (woman too) than has ever been taken from the earth”.
Other good tips: Expose yourself to good input (books, tapes, trade publications, etc.) and good thinkers (seek out sharp people); think and act on good thoughts (with follow through); once you identify a thought, ride the emotion and add to it; find a place to think and use it on a schedule.
Maxwell sums it up this way – “The right Thought plus the Right People in the Right Environment at the Right Time for the Right Reason = The Right Result”.
